CE 2720: Applied Engineering Statics

Prereq: CE 2710X; PHYS 2310; PHYS 2310L; (Credit or enrollment in MATH 1660)
Analysis of force systems, free-body diagrams; rigid body equilibrium in 2D and 3D; analysis of trusses, frames, and machines; internal axial force, shear force and bending moment, applications involving friction, centroid and center of mass; second moments of areas.Graduation Restriction: Only one of the following options can be used toward graduation: CE 2740, OR (CE 2710 AND CE 2720).
