Everyone interacts with public health data whether they realize it or not. This course translates public health data into practical steps health professionals, science enthusiasts, and anyone can use daily. Students will learn where public health data comes from, how to access and interpret it, and most importantly how to turn that information into timely, evidence based actions in clinical practice, population health, health communication, and personal decision making. The course bridges surveillance, diagnostics, and risk communication with an emphasis on U.S. systems and examples so students leave with skills to protect and understand population health in real time. (Typically Offered: Fall)
