Basics of experimentation and data processing and analysis in aerospace structures. Stress concentration. Analysis, design, fabrication and testing of riveted joints. Theory, installation and applications of strain gages. Applications of video extensometer. Testing and characterization of structural materials. Bending of beams. Analysis and design of composites. Buckling of columns. Shear centers of thin-walled sections. Introduction to nondestructive evaluation. Design, prototyping, testing and analysis of structures. Technical writing practice via lab reports.
