Prereq: AN S 214; (BBMB 221 or CHEM 331)
Structure and function of organic and inorganic nutrients. Digestion, absorption, metabolism and utilization of nutrients for maintenance and productive functions. Essential nutritive requirements of domestic livestock, poultry, and companion animals. Sources of nutrients, application of energy systems and concepts, and regulation of feed intake in animals. Students may not receive graduation credit for both AN S 219 and AN S 319.
