BME 4200: Biomedical Engineering Design I

Prereq: BME 2700, BME 3500, BME 3520, and BME 3540
Introduction to biomedical engineering senior design. Students will form teams, identify a project topic, conduct a thorough literature review, and create a project charter with well-defined objectives, deliverables, budget, task assignment, communication strategy and a proposed timeline. Emphasis will be placed on problem definition, design constraints, project planning, and early-stage design considerations. This course prepares students to enter BME 4300, where prototypes will be built and tested.
