Introduction to the development and implementation of free and open-source online mapping tools and coding to support participatory GIS, Volunteered Geographic Information, information sharing, geodesign, and decision-making actions. Laboratory emphasis on the discovery, extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) of data, integration of spatial data science methods and user interface design through development of practical applications and uses of Web GIS.
