HDFS 3420: Social and Emotional Development and Child-centered Guidance in Early Childhood

Prereq: HDFS 2240
Guiding prosocial development, self-regulation, and task engagement of children birth to age 8. Focus is on promoting prosocial behaviors through supportive relationships and environments within diverse home, center, or school settings. Functional behavior assessment and ongoing progress monitoring for targeted and intensive interventions. Practicum. Must take HDFS 3400, 3430, or 3440 the same semester.
