TSM 2400: Introduction to Advanced Manufacturing: Metals and Plastics Processing

A study of selected materials, properties, and related processes used in additive and subtractive manufacturing including CNC lathes, plastic injection molding, 3D printing, aluminum die casting, welding, and assembly. Introduction to engineering economic tools and their use in financial decision making. Lecture and laboratory activities focus on manufacturing processes.
