Foundational overview of large and production animal veterinary medicine, emphasizing practical clinical skills and animal handling techniques. Explore the major agricultural species—including cattle, swine, equine, and small ruminants—through the lens of production systems, behavior, and welfare. Key concepts in biosecurity, epidemiology, and food safety will be introduced to support a comprehensive understanding of herd health and public health implications. Hands-on learning is a central component, with visits to production units that highlight common husbandry practices and production cycles. Gain applied experience in essential clinical skills such as animal restraint, physical examination, diagnostic sample collection, and parenteral treatment techniques.
