ANS 3190: Animal Nutrition

Prereq: ANS 2140; (BBMB 2210 or CHEM 3310)
Structure and function of organic and inorganic nutrients. Digestion, absorption, metabolism and utilization of nutrients for maintenance and productive functions. Essential nutritive requirements of domestic livestock, poultry, and companion animals. Sources of nutrients, application of energy systems and concepts, and regulation of feed intake in animals. Graduation Restriction: Students may not receive graduation credit for both ANS 2190 and ANS 3190.
