Overview of securities law, securities markets, and an introduction to the basic asset classes. Measure investment returns and investment risk, including portfolio theory and asset allocation. Taxation of investments, and development of investment policy statements. Evaluate household financial decisions and translate household investment objectives, risk tolerance, and time horizon into an investment plan and portfolio recommendation.
